So get this!
While some peoples' idea of Physical Education ("Gym Class"...ahem...) include Dodgeball, rolling out a few balls for students to play with, and maybe unstructured running around during this block of time, Physical Education actually consists of learning a myriad of movements, strategies, social-emotional work, and skills that enhance quality of life.
Our students at Brighton Park Elementary go through a very fun, yet vigorous, amount of skills and drills that encompass our Physical Education National Standards. Our students are assessed on their skills and attitude performance in a number of ways, and are taught and grouped in manners that will help them become successful in these assessments.

All of the skills that our Eagles learn in Physical Education enriches their skills in the classroom as well, from math to reading, science to history. We pride ourselves in teaching a variety that allows our students to open their minds to new, creative possibilities, and helps them apply academic skills to physical activity and movement.
